WhatsApp automation for fmcg & distribution

Keep every distributor informed without a WhatsApp group.

Distributors, stockists, wholesalers and FMCG field teams

The problem

Order confirmations, credit limits and dispatch updates live in one enormous group chat where nobody reads anything.

Flows you can build today

Each one names the trigger behind it. Nothing here is a roadmap item — if it's on this page, you can build it this afternoon.

Credit or account status
Tag added

Tag a distributor “credit-hold” and they hear why, immediately and privately.

Price list on request
Keyword

A retailer messages “catalogue” or “price” and gets the current one — not last quarter's PDF.

Dispatch approved
Webhook

Your ERP posts when a load is cleared and the distributor knows before the truck moves.

Payment terms due
Date reached

Credit-period reminders that go out on the date, every time.

Your fields, not ours

Most WhatsApp tools give you order-shaped variables and nothing else. You define what your business actually stores, and the template composer offers it alongside the built-ins.

On your own number

Your own Meta WhatsApp Business account. Meta bills you directly at Meta's published rate — we never mark up a message, and the number stays yours if you leave.

What the first week looks like

  1. 1Import your distributor list with credit days and payment terms as fields.
  2. 2Set up keyword replies for the questions you answer daily — price list, stock, terms.
  3. 3Tag-based flows for account status: credit hold, resumed, on watch.
  4. 4Point your ERP at the webhook URL for dispatch confirmations.

Every flow starts in dry-run — it records what it would have sent without sending it, so you read a week of real matches before anything reaches a customer.

Questions we actually get

We run everything through a WhatsApp group.+

Which is why nobody reads it. A group broadcasts to everyone; this messages the one distributor the update concerns, privately, and their reply comes back as a ticket instead of scrolling away.

Our ERP is old and can't integrate.+

If it can make an HTTP POST — most can, even via a scheduled script — it can trigger a message. That's the whole requirement.

Can different distributors get different messages?+

Yes. Tag them, and flows can require a tag before firing. North-zone distributors and south-zone distributors can be on entirely different messages.
